定窑的来历：
定窑是我国宋代五大名窑之一，它是继唐代的邢窑白瓷之后兴起的一大瓷窑体系。主要产地在今河北省曲阳县的涧磁村及东燕川村、西燕川村一带，因该地区唐宋时期属定州管辖，故名定窑。定窑原为民窑，北宋中后期开始烧造宫廷用瓷。

定窑的兴起：
定窑在唐代时就已是著名瓷场，专烧白釉、黄釉瓷，到宋代发展迅速，比之前更大更有名，大量烧制白瓷，其次有黑釉、酱釉、绿釉、白地褐花等品种。白瓷胎土细腻，胎质薄而有光，釉色纯白滋润，上有泪痕，釉为白玻璃质釉，略带粉质，因此称为粉定，亦称白定。
