所谓电机的软启动，实质就是电机以较低的电流慢速启动，这样对电网的冲击小，同时可以降低变压器和控制电路的负荷裕量，同时提高设备的使用寿命。一般交流电机直接启动时，启动电流是试运行电流的6~10倍，而采用软启动技术后，启动电流降低到1~3倍。电机的软起动主要采用如下方式：
