Convenient connector placement for use in rackmount environments
The PSG equipped with Option 1EM provides rear panel connectors only. With this option, all front panel connectors are moved to the rear panel of the instrument.
Option 1EM moves the following front panel connectors to the rear panel:
· RF OUTPUT
· LF OUTPUT
· EXT 1 and EXT2 INPUTS
· GATE/PULSE/TRIGGER INPUT
· ALC INPUT
· SYNC OUT
· VIDEO OUT
Typical applications
Rear-panel connectors are recommended to simplify cable management when installing and using the PSG in rackmount test environments, such as manufacturing and system verification. Rear-panel connectors significantly simplifies installation and maintenance and enables orderly cable management.
How to upgrade
A customer installable upgrade kit does not exist for this option.
