铜镜就是古代用铜做的镜子,又称青铜镜。远古时期,人们以水照面,铜器发现以后,以铜盆盛水鉴形照影,铜镜的生长分为差异阶段,各时期铜镜也不尽相同.
商代铜镜均为圆形。镜面近平或微凸,镜身较薄,反面中央有一拱起的弓形（或称桥形）钮。西周铜镜也都是圆形的,镜面平直或微凸,镜身较薄,镜钮有弓形、半环形、长方形多种。又可分为素镜、重环镜、鸟兽纹镜三类。
“高阿申匹俦捐赠商代凸弦纹铜镜仪式”日前在上海博物馆一楼影视中央举行。它填补了上博古代铜镜珍藏方面的一大空缺。
