据记者相识,这面“十二生肖四神镜”为隋唐铜镜。隋唐铜镜较前代有很大生长,在铜质的合金中加大了锡的因素,在铜镜的质地上就显得银亮,既雅观又适用。此铜镜直径１５厘米,重１２１１克,为圆形,上有伏兽钮,钮制与通俗伏兽钮相较量,造型较为特殊,其背部肌体轮廓极其清晰,毛发明确,极具动感,具有狂野之美,为伏兽钮中少见品种。
