鉴定出手： 王经理
从文献记载来看,青铜钺大约最早出现在二里头文化时期,但目前考古发现的确切证据多属商代前期。在新石器时代,石钺和石斧曾是最主要的手持武器,并演化出具有礼仪性质的玉斧、玉钺。到了夏商周时期,随着等级制的日益复杂,青铜钺的礼仪属性进一步提升,而战场上的主要手持兵器则已更新换代为青铜戈。事实上,普通的士兵是不能使用青铜钺的。无论文献记载照样考古发现都表明,青铜钺主要是作为一种礼仪性的象征物而存在,它总是与王者如影随形。
而王者进行朝政与礼仪活动,斧钺同样不可或缺。《逸周书·世浮》中云：“(周武)王秉黄钺正国伯,……王秉黄钺正邦君。”说明周王作为宗主国或者盟主国国君,必须秉黄钺亲理政事。而大凡有大型国事活动,王者身后须设有绘制斧钺图案的屏风状礼仪设施。
春秋战国以来,斧钺逐渐失去昔日的辉煌,但在天子的大驾卤簿中,却也一直少不了黄钺,青铜钺作为皇权的象征之一仍残留在礼制的行列中。《后汉书·舆服志》中记载的天子出行,“乘舆法驾……后有金钲黄钺,黄门鼓车。”一直延续至汉代,仍可见沂南汉画像“车马出行图”中的斧车,斧应是钺的传承。
