,雪灵芝坚忍不拔、生命不息的顽强精神,造就了它独有的生物活性成份：雪灵芝总皂甙,雪灵芝多糖、六种β-咔啵啉、雪灵芝黄酮、三萜类化合物、香豆素、多种氨基酸、维生素和微量元素。β-卡啵淋有效干扰纺锤丝微管蛋白质,抑制微管形成,停止肿瘤细胞的有丝分裂。同时,β-卡啵淋能平衡这两种基因活性,能使肿瘤细胞染色体断裂,核膜损伤,导致DNA链断裂,从而激活程序性细胞死亡。其药用价值在《月王药诊》、《四部药典》、等藏医圣典及《中药大词典》、《中华人民共和国卫生部药品标准-藏药第一册》中均有收载。1988—1994年,中科院成都生物研究所和日本东邦大学药学部进行“雪灵芝”基础研究。1995—1998年,华西医科大学和西藏太阳能研究示范中心进行“雪灵芝”增强免疫、抑制肿瘤功能性实验阶段。年,经过西藏自治区太阳能研究示范中心和四川博力科技药业有限公司多年的共同努力,雪灵芝成品制剂终于成功面市！
需要注意的是,仅仅通过用灵芝食疗这种方法并不能起到明显的防治效果,建议可用决明子、黑乌龙等组方为决乌汤茶这种中医经典组方茶,对高血脂等症可以起到很好的防治效果。药理研究证明,灵芝有多方面的生物活性。
《本草纲目》菜部第二十八卷有记载,肉芝状如肉,乃生物也；《山海经》称之谓“视肉”“聚肉”“太岁”；葛洪的《抱朴子》里面也有对肉芝的记载。古书中的记载,有太岁,肉灵芝,肉芝,视肉的称呼。以太岁和肉灵芝的称呼最为常用,现代被称作太岁肉灵芝,以下简称太岁。
