概述

巴柯尔 (Barcol) 硬度 ( 简称巴氏硬度 ) 最早由美国Barber-Colman 公司提出，是近代国际上广泛采用的一种金属硬度计类，以特定压头在标准弹簧的压力作用下压入试样，以压痕的深浅表征试样的硬度。巴柯尔硬度计（巴氏硬度计）作为专门测量玻璃钢制品、增强或非增强硬塑料、铝及铝合金、黄铜、紫铜等较软金属硬度的专用检测工具（特别适用于玻璃钢制品），已被大多数国家或国际组织认可。美国协会（ ASTM ）、 JIS ）、中国等国家相继制定《用巴柯尔硬度计测量玻璃钢（ GRP ）硬度试验方法》的国家标准。因此，巴柯尔硬度计是各生产单位、计量部门在质量认证、质量监控、计量测试等方面首选的专用检测仪器。

硬度计本身会产生两种误差：一是其零件的变形、移动造成的误差；二是硬度参数超出规定标准所造成的误差。对第二种误差，在测量前需用标准块对硬度计进行校准。对洛氏硬度计校正结果，差值在±1之内合格。差值在±2之内的稳定数值，可以给出修正值。差值在±2范围之外时则必需对硬度计进行校正维修或换其他硬度测试法测定。
