鸭绒是长在鸭的脖子到胸腹之间不含羽梗的毛。由于这个部分的毛经常浸在水里，不仅具有一定的防水性，抗寒能力也是全身毛中好的。鸭绒非常柔软，是制作羽绒服，羽绒被的上乘的材料。
贵屿镇的农民在20世纪上半叶就已经开始在临近的地区走村串巷，收购鸡毛、鸭毛、废旧铜铁等等，进行各种各样的废旧品收购，并且逐渐形成为当地另一种意义上的主业。
（1）水洗鸭毛，属于初加工产品。货物进口前，在境外必须经过水洗，干燥，消毒等简单初加工处理。未经加工原产品由于杂物太多，甚至带有动物血迹等，并且异味比较大。

（2）水洗鸭毛，用途主要是填充于羽绒被、羽绒服、抱枕、沙发、睡袋等产品做保暖用。其保暖效果主要体现于产品的含绒量。货物价格主要取决于货物的含绒量，正常情况下含绒量高的其价格相应高一点，所以申报要素中含绒量是比较关键。

（3）申报单证除了常规的合同箱单发票以为。关键是需要提供国外原产地证以及检疫证明。原产地证，证明产地以确定该产地区养殖场是否出现有病役情况，如果属于自贸协议国家还可以关税优惠。

（4）进口流程：确定贸易条款--国外出口报关--订舱--海运--进口清关

港口申报流程:船公司补料—换单—报检—报关—交税---查验/放行。

根据查验情况，可能有要求送样检测水洗鸭毛含水率，含绒量，耗氧量，蓬松度等指标。
